Those of you who shoot with your left eye in the viewfinder: do you find that your face gets in the way of your thumb changing options on the back of your camera while you're looking through?

I just learned how to use my nose to turn the dial! :)
Seriously, no - I do put nose prints on the screen from time to time though.

I have a photographic memory, just wish I'd remember to take the lens cap off more often!

I'm a right-eyed shooter and do the same

Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

I alternate eyes not cuz of the nasty nose prints, but cuz when i shoot a long BB tourny my one eye I was using would get really tired and start twitching. Thats when I started keeping both eyes open and alternate eyes from time to time...

I have a 450D, and I can reach all the buttons with no problem, except for the exposure comp/aperture button. I have to push my face out of the way to press it, but I don't find it to be annoying.

I've just started using my left eye as I now have some double vision in my right eye..

It is a learning curve, but I have not noticed my big honker getting in the way too much...

.... Got some cameras; got some glass ..... I just need one more of each.....

I've been trying to use my right eye. Not working too well. I am getting better at keeping my nose off the LCD. Most changes I would make while looking through viewfinder I can do, though I little awkward at times.

I shoot right-eyed, and I find myself putting nose-prints on the screen often enough.

I alternate between eyes depending on the shooting conditions. For example, if I'm pressed up against a wall, I will use the corresponding eye to look into the viewfinder.

Hah! this thread cracked me up.... I have the biggest nose in the world. The screen gets smudged, the buttons sometimes get in the way. I even thought about buying an eyecup extension. Then i just realised that if i tilt my head down a little bit, i dont have to worry. Lol

Nope. And my nose tends to place itself between the multicontroller and the wheel, rather than the lcd. I put on a cheap screen protector anyway, just so I wouldn't be constantly cleaning the lcd from smudges and fingerprints.

I'm left eyed. Just walk around with Live view always on, like a point and shoot ;)

Doesn't bother me.

Have you seen the threads polling people which eye they shoot with? Surprisingly they've been about 50/50. Seems much higher than the normal population.

No. If it's a problem, just turn your head a little :lol. I am 100% left eyed and I almost never shoot with the camera pointing straight forward from my body, I am almost always standing sideways on, shooting over my left shoulder rather than straight forward on.
