I can't decide between the lens cap of a 70-200/f2.8 or the cap of a 70-200/f4 IS. I assume the IS cap will do better at handholding since the lens diff is 1 stop but the IS picks up 3-4 stops. However, the f4 cap will not freeze motion as well as the 2.8 cap. What should I buy?

Also, should I turn off the IS when using its cap?

Lastly, will the smaller DOF of a crop affect my lens cap decision? I want the best Bokeh possible so this is a tough decision.

I always want C&C on my shots.

Well, little did I know my kids left the shovels and sleds out on the walkway, and down I went.... Thanks, this will be an expensive insurance claim now, but at least I am okay.

QUOTED IMAGE

It's all your kids' fault. I hope you spanked them good.

I had my lens cap too close to the to a primary Alpha emitter and now this is what I get when I take a picture.

Should I worry?

And it seems to draw my lenses to it.

Can I take a picture of the back of the Lens Cap with the 580EX on? If so, what settings should I use on the flash unit? I have some Pocket wizards, should I use them?

Sure, just shoot the flash at the viewfinder (you need the off-camera cord).

If that really is what I think it is right there in the middle then I would worry a *lot*...

Wow there are some strange posts in this thread, a lot of people seem to have the wrong idea about defective pixels :(

Hmmm...well, you only addressed 18 messages here. That leaves 172 messages that you had overlooked. There are even more now so you'd better get cracking! :p

Otherwise, good job!
