Did you take this immediately after turning the camera on? Looks to me like you took the shot way too soon to get hot pixels (they were probably only mildly warm at this point), but I think what you've managed to capture is a photo of the EOS Integrated Cleaning System in action! :D Amazing!

I will probably get shot for asking this, but which is better, a Canon lens cap or a Nikon lens cap?

Well, Canon and Nikon lens caps have been running pretty close lately but I think most here agree that Sony lens caps tend to be really noisy!

Canon has a much better selection of lens caps than Nikon does, and they're less expensive, too!

That's why even if Nikon builds better bodies, you're probably better off staying with the Canon system.

Some say the Nikon lens caps are better built, but the Canons, while they may feel cheap, are at least as good optically. And after all, isn't the resulting (black, with occasional small bright spots) shot what ultimately counts?

:p

What do you guys think about this one:D One lamp to the right and one to the left and a 430EX II flash. I got it right in the 4-5 shot... Used a 450D and a 28-135mm EF and the flash of course..

I must be doing something wrong, or is it another 5d2 problem that canon is hiding?
Does anyone else have this issue. I think my shot is pretty self explanatory.
I just read a post claiming canon lenses covers were cheap compared to nikon.
You obviously have not looked into the pricing of L series lense caps. I've heard you loose one of those you may as well just go buy a whole new set up.
I have another concern I'll address in my next post. Hopefully some of you more knowlegeable gentlemen will be able to shed some light on this.

Okay, now this is serious. Have I been scammed, taken advantage of?
Maybe hoodwinked? Or maybe this is one of those "gray market lenses" I've read of?
I've never had a lense arrive with these kinds of instructions on it before.
I can tell you one thing for sure, I'm not doing it! I may be a newb, but I'm not totally stupid! That's kudos to all of you on this thread...I must admit I would have been clueless if it hadn't been for all of you!
So, maybe one of you more sage and bright strobes could illuminate me on what's going on with this.

Just consider yourself fortunate. I've heard through the InterWebs that some covers have very small print: "Warning -- removing this cover will void your warranty"!
