Had to jump through hoops but the state gave me clearance to shoot at the track yesterday.

The only four I have edited so probably will post some better ones in a day or so.

In #1 I will fix the right dogs eye at a later date.

If you don't agree with Grey Hound racing on ethical grounds I respect that. Please respect me and follow POTN's rules and only comment on the images themselves. Thanks.

In #3, did you intentionally decrease the number of colors?
The background dirt looks very posterized and the lead dog's fur looks cartoonish.

#3 was posterized intentionally. I don't always follow conventional norms. Sometimes they don't work, sometimes it pays well.

Very cool Mike...

Why the "hoop jumping?" Photography not normally allowed?

Sorry I didn't multi quote this.

The GM was initially worried if I had sneaky motives. Seems some animal rights activists would like to shut down the sport and try to document animal abuse. Also some trainers or bettors might try to make a case that a person positioned where I was might be influential in the outcome of a race.

Great images Mike! As for letting the Grey Hounds do what they are supposed to do naturally, I don't have issue with that either. The how and why isn't for this forum.

My Whippet was a doll, and I loved watching her run in all her grace. Enough said!

Keep posting those great shots.

Great shots with nice colors. I love the fact that there are 5 dogs in the first shot with only 2 paws on the ground.....almost got them all in the air! Nice timing!
