No, it doesn't make a good camcorder, as in point and shoot video like most consumers are used to.

But, in the hands of a capable videographer, shooting it like they would a professional video camera, it is more than capable and will product stunning, in focus images, all day long.

The camera as a tool is fine. But the best way to use it is to shoot it film style, not like a consumer camcorder. Only when you do that, do you really see what the camera can do. There is plenty of excellent example video footage out there to prove that.
