1st Attempt at Panning tomorrow - any last tips/ advice?

as title really, i'm heading out with my 450D tomorrow to a local track, i've read the really helpful tutorials in the thread at the top but i just wanted to draw upon the advice of others before i head out

Tv mode to start. Go for about ISO 200/400 to get you going and try at a decent shutter speed first.

If you find you want more motion, slow it down. There is no right or wrong shutter speed as it depends on your subject and the strength of the pan.

If the lens has IS, should help out. :)

If it's bright out, set it to ISO 100, and leave it. Start at 1/250, and go down from there.

Panning is all in the hips, don't forget to follow through after the shutter has fired

As said above its all in the hips and follow through,
