HS Basketball -Ambient

First time covering the "big kids". Used the Mark III and ISO 3200.

Tried the 300 2.8 some and several different locations but ended up spending most of the time on the baseline with the 70-200 2.8

Really nice for ambient light. And great action captures. Nice work. How fast SS were you seeing? The boy putting the ball on the floor looks like 400 or even 320.

Note: I've been gravitating toward the 85mm f/1.8, (in favor of the 70/200) for doing basketball. It allows me to keep ISO at 1600 and still get 1/500, sometimes 1/640 on the SS.

If my focus skills were better, I'd be able to post shots like yours!

How did you set your white balance for these shots? And did you shoot RAW?
