OK, please don't laugh, because this is serious. I can NOT find the positive feedback forum thread. Someone even sent me a link to where they left positive feedback for me, and the link does not work, so don't try that because it is not working on my MacBook Pro for some bizarre reason. I OWE positive feedback to several people. If you could just tell me WHERE the thing is, I would be most appreciative. I do not see it anywhere under Buy or Sell or Services or Market Watch. WHERE THE HECK IS IT? ???

Signed in Frustration,
Really-I-am-NOT-as-dumb-as-it-looks Marci

And by the way, cutting and pasting the link my seller sent me did not work either--I just got a Page Not Found error. :o

Tommy, I appreciate the link, but as I said in my original post, the link is not working for some reason. I just got a blank page when I clicked on your link. Could you just tell me WHERE the thread is? For example, Go to Market Watch and Search on Positive or whatever it is I can do to FIND the thread. THANKS!

FWIW I am using Firefox on a MacBook Pro.

Thank you for finally solving this problem for me. :)

I can't believe it! When I click on the sticky, I get a blank page. No wonder the links are not working. The whole thread is not working on my computer. I am not kidding. I don't even know how this is possible. Honestly, this is NOT a joke. I click on the thread title and it goes to a blank page. I do not know what else to do about this. At least I know where it is, so I will try it on another browser at work or even on Safari (which has LOTS of weird glitches) later. Right now I think I need coffee.

Has anyone else ever experienced anything weird like this?

Marci

When you see the blank page, do you see exactly this on your browser's address line

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=28608

or something else?

Try clearing your browser's cache first.

Here is what I see:

I have not tried to clear the cache yet but will go and do so now.

OK, I went and cleared the cache and I tried again. I still got a blank page.

Then under Tools at the top of the page, I clicked on Error Console. I got a bunch of error messages that seem to have to do with POTN. This is what it looked like (flickr has reduced it in overall size but I think you can still read it):

Sounds like your FireFox installation is corrupted (the first error message). Try a fresh install. Also see if Safari will open it OK.

Can I do a fresh install over the old one or do I need to get rid of the first one (Firefox). Which would you recommend for the best installation?

Just delete the old folder since you're on a Mac (save your bookmarks and cookies first) and do a clean install.

I dragged the icon on the dock to the trash and then I installed it again and it is still doing the same thing. What I don't understand is that all of my bookmarks are still there. Does this mean that I did not get a clean install? When I dragged the icon to the applications folder I did get a funny sound. However, when I clicked on the firefox icon, I did get a message stating that this was a program that I downloaded from the internet and was I sure I wanted to run it, so it seems like it was a new install or it would not have asked that question. I guess I can go and try Safari but this is really driving me nuts.

Until you empty the trash the old program is still hanging around. Your bookmarks and cookies are saved in a separate folder; not sure where it is in a Mac; in a PC it's in an "Application Data\Mozilla" folder. There may be other plug-ins, add-ons and settings in there as well which are part of the problem.

Well, I went to Safari and signed in there and tried to get to that thread and the same thing happened.

Here is a screenshot showing that I was in Safari and also showing the address in the address bar.

So. . .it does not seem to be a browser problem.
