Not being a Mac person, I can't help you beyond that. Jon

Feb 01, 2009 15:53 | #19 Thanks for trying to help, to those who have posted suggestions. The thing that is so confusing is that this is ONLY happening with ONE thread. I can't help but think there is something different about that thread. I also think it is odd that it is happening with two different browsers, but only that same thread in each browser. For now, though, I will give up. I will post feedback on a PC somewhere. Thanks for trying to help with this. Marci

(OS X Leopard and OS X Tiger, Safari 3) Very interested to know how you eventually solve it though. Yes, I would think that if this happened to everyone with any kind of a MAC, the moderators would have known about it before now. So I am not surprised. What does surprise me is that the Positive Feedback Thread is the ONLY thread that this happens for in my case AND that it happens for BOTH Firefox and Safari. Marci

Interesting theory--maybe that is the problem. I know that in another forum that I belong to, they lock threads at 500 posts and start a new one with the same name and a number after it (II, III, etc.). Maybe that is why they do that--the thread just gets too unwieldy. Good thinking. Good to find the issue, perhaps the mods know of a solution from that. Good luck. Anke

Even if thread had 50,000 pages it would load, (albeit slowly with Vb), if it takes too long (minutes) you would see timeout error instead of empty page. Only difference between you opening that thread and Anke opening that tread is browser/OS you use. The Forum Boss, El General Moderator

Feb 01, 2009 21:00 | #30 No, that did not help, and it makes other weird things happen, like when I posted the reply the rest of the thread disappeared and my reply was listed as #1, and also the text in my reply had things like <br> in them, which I have not seen before. Since I am still getting the blank page with Javascript disabled, I am going to go and check the box again. Marci
