Just spotted this sweet deal:

BestBuy.com has the new Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 Lens in stock at $950 - $50 off $500 = $900 instore pickup.

You have to add it to your cart to see the $949.99 price.

Coupon here (expire 4/9/2005):

You can sweeten the deal buy using your BestBuy credit card and possibly getting no interest for 6 or 12 months. You may have to talk to someone to get that, but I am betting it can be done.

I think this is currently the lowest price and they are in stock.

Hey Pradeep,

Thanks for this post. While I also would prefer black, I'm even happier saving saving $100! Picked one up today at Best Buy, and while they charged sales tax (they do online or at store), I didn't have to pay for shipping.

Essentially, they're selling the kit for the price everyone else charges for just the body. Haven't had time to test out the kit lens yet, & it does feel cheap, however, I'm not an "L" lens kind of guy anyway. Let me know when you find a super deal on the 17-85 and 10-22 lenses.

Amazing, small camera, excluding lens, its essentially no larger than my G-1 and lighter also! As small as it is, my fat, stubby fingers have no problem holding it.
