Recently purchased a Canon 17-40mm 4.0L and Cokin ND starter kit. Needed area transportation pics for work, so hit the local ferry dock.

Like this one the best out of the lot and wanted to share. C&C welcome.

Cheers!

Thanks PhotosGuy.

Guess I'll need to take some pics of fighter jets or sports cars to get any love in this section. :)

Or a train wouldn't hurt either. Nice shot. It does pop out at you.

Great shot, brings back old times. I hopped on one of those north of Seattle. hated to leave the town. Headed west to the coast and back around to Rainer

Thanks Ace. I was afraid it might be too contrasty.

Seattle-area trains are on my list of things to get. I'll post 'em when I got 'em.

This dock is just north of Seattle; it's the Edmonds-Kingston Run. Sounds like you had a nice trip, glad it brings back memories. The greater Seattle area offers a lot for adventure seekers.

The sun did peek out a little bit - just enough to battle the chill of the wind and shed some light on the ferry.

This is the Edmonds dock I believe (north of Seattle about 12 miles or so) and ferries from this terminal run to Kingston (Olympic Peninsula) and back.

First time here and it seems like a nice place. Plan to contribute additional photos.

Cheers.

That is the one we took. Went to the rain forest then south and back to Rainer. I'll be back in September. Headed to stand on top of Mount Rainer and take pictures of Seattle. If i was single and w/o kids, i'd stay there.
