A few samples from this weekends action... CC welcome... Another question also, how do I know what the horizon should be when I shoot the corners and get funky angles... I will post examples of these situations...

splitting the defense!

Best ball handler in the state, and many scouts say in the NW and top ten in the westtern states... not sure, but she is DA MAN!

Our other point gaurd who is arguably the best ball handler in the state, its a nice problem to have on one team, especially since they are best friends and the only riveralry that have is over boys...lol

this picture isnt so much a great shot, but more an example of the horizon problem I refered to. I try to find a line that is either horizontal or virticle and try to go with that, but I am never sure because of the funky angle the sideline gives...what is the right way to determine the correct horizon on these sideline shots?

thanks for looking and giving your opinion on the pictures and the horizon question?

Vertical is vertical. Horizontal can vary.

agreed. I tend to line up to vertical more than horizontal

On your last shot your horizon looks OK. Try and look for things in the background that you know are vertical (e.g. the sposts on the guard rail of the upper deck or the seams in the wall divider) and align those properly and you should be OK.

I think when most say the "horizon" is off, the refer to natural horizons. Indoor shot, I would agree with the previous posters, they should set to a vertical reference.

Nice action.

+1 for verticals. I installed the focussing screen with a grid on it which helps me an awful lot. My galleries before grid-screen and after grid-screen show the difference (at least to me).

In #5, I would not chop the lady on the left in half especially since a nice natural boundary exists for the crop.

thanks all, that's what I had come up with myself (using vertical markers like corners lines etc...)

Thanks for all the input...now do most of these look correct horizontal wise?
