WARNING: GRATUITOUS NEW EQUIPMENT HAPPINESS BELOW. If you hate these threads, move on as there is nothing more to see here :)

I received my 35L a couple weeks ago, and absolutely adore that lens on my 5D. With spring sports coming up, I decided to sell my 17-40 and get a new body to go along with the 5D.

And here is the happy couple:

Man, I hate you. Couldn't you have posted some kind of warning so I wouldn't have had to see this?

Congrats on the new gear!

Should have put the 70-200 2.8 IS on it and taken a shot of that! :) That would definitely tempt me. :)

What camera did you use to take that picture? I think I see some sensor dust.

Yeah, nice, the 1Dmk2 is a helluva deal right now, when tax returns come around I was thinking of picking one up myself, I mean, you see 'em from $1100-$1400. To me $1400 for a mint mk2 is a steal. The AF on the mk2, Dsmk2 and D2n is the best I've used, very solid, no jitters and built to last indefinately.

Image looks a little noisy. I'd run it through a noise reduction and probably bump the contrast up a tad. Composition isn't bad though.

Man you guys don't let a man not answer a question, do you :)

I paid $1,100 for each body, so at $2,200, we're still $500 under a new 5D2.

And as for the sensor dust and noise, It's not the camera, it's just a crappy pic :). The noise came out of the woodwork when I bumped the fill light in Lightroom.

Here you go Suzy:
