It looks a little soft. Maybe lack of contrast.

Yes a little low in contrast and the colors/WB seem off to me. Manually balanced levels in PSE5 to give a more natural look. Your original seems a bit too red. Cropped to reduce file size.

My attempt at an edit. Changed WB and added contrast with levels and, yes, cropped a little.

Happy's version looks great. I think all it needed was a contrast boost and a bit of that yellow-film look removed. The eyes are a nice touch, too. It was a very flattering and well done portrait to begin with; just needed a tad of processing to bring out what you saw originally, I'm sure, a very beautiful young woman. Just a word when shooting portraits; less is better, try to isolate the woman to make her the predominant part of the image; the crop was necessary and helped remove the busy scene very well.

I'm no pro but I thought I'd try a shot at some PP with this image, what do you think, honestly? Skin tone too off? I messed around with the WB in Raw.Beautiful woman by the way!

Yes I agrree the WB is off. If you shot it RAW open it again and click with the color dropper in her eyes (the white part). Then add contrast and sharpen it.

Hey thanks a lot for your input - I changed it and it worked out and looks fine.
