I think all it needed was a contrast boost and a bit of that yellow-film look removed. The eyes are a nice touch, too. It was a very flattering and well done portrait to begin with; just needed a tad of processing to bring out what you saw originally, I'm sure, a very beautiful young woman. Just a word when shooting portraits; less is better, try to isolate the woman to make her the predominant part of the image; the crop was necessary and helped remove the busy scene very well.
