Speaking of broadband, you lot jinxed mine! :-)

No connection at all this morning, have the Sky max package. Phoned them up and they tell me that the line has been down since very early this morning. BT were doing something at the exchange. They told me to wait until the "internet" light on the router had changed from orange to green to then try it again!

Well' it's back on now. There must be some kind of compensation for the down time, was atleast 6+ hours! I mean come on, I know I was asleep but what do they expect me to do when I get up, go out and meet people ;)

Just checked - can't get BE in my area. Shame as £40 GAME vouchers as a gift for signing up would have been nice :D

Im sure we could get something going in the same way. I thought about doing area vs area but some people (like you) would have one person on your team.....you.

Maybe we can have a think, maybe four groups. One for south, one for west, one for north and one for east London. Teams of two and just go out shooting.

Sounds like it could be fun. The fairest way to do it though would just be to put the names of all attendees into a hat and draw names into groups. Kind of like they do for say the Champions League group stages.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

Mine said that too mate but the BT homehub puts a cap on your DL speeds based on a 2 week burn in where they look at the BB usage in your general area and then cap it on an average speed!

When i found this out i went direct to the CEO of BT and he personally had all of what i had paid in BB subscriptions refunded over the last 4 months i had it and apologised for misleading me with the intial BB speed test in my area.

Theres loads of stuff on this subject online and all i can say is dong go with BT!

michaelgreen78 wrote in post #7402332 (external link)
Well, a test on my phone line shows it'll get 6-6.5 meg speeds which is good.

I'm still undecided! I've got until the end of March to sort it. I could stay with Orange I guess but I've been having some recent problems with their router which I've had for a couple of years now so I fancy a change.
