I've decided to order this (external link)

Thats not very good for the money mate...

You would do much better buying a semi decent strobist kit than a full blown studio setup.. I have a 3 head 300W interfit stellar kit that i paid £600 for last jan and have used it maybe 5 times in ovr a year!!

A strobist kit will produce better results in normal situations and you can be much more creative and as you are not shooting commercially it dont really matter if u just have a stobist kit.

Also, you can take your studio setup on location ;)

Good mate, cheers. I went for a ride around Windsor/Eton, scoping out possible locations for shooting etc. Took a shot of the poor mans London Eye, but haven't looked at processing it yet.

Actually, the car is a special matt white that they do and yes, it looks like satin or pearl. The lighting was natural - just your bog standard stormy evening. It p*ssed down shortly after. The luggage space is SO small in that car that we had not space to take any flashes. Spent 6 days wearing the same clothes!

Ah that would be why it looks like Satin then .......:o
