I raised my price and people bemoan that fact. I don't feel I have to justify the rise - more gear bought & more experience with the end result being better service and better photos. But people still want last year's prices! I bet the people who still want last years prices expect a bloody payrise in their jobs most years though. No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

I dont discount or deviate from my prices, that way i dont do anyone any favours. My camera stuff

I dont discount or deviate from my prices, that way i dont do anyone any favours. The best one i had was a couple that turned down my £800 package coz they found a guy who would do it for £500. He did the wedding and the photos were all under exposed and dull, poorly composed and generally sh!t! They came back to me after they got the CD of pics and said " we wish we went with you, these pics look nothing like yours and were really upset by them. He wont offer a refund and we did no contract so were stuck! They then asked if i could do anything with the photos to make them better so i processed one and really made it pop and told them thats what i can do to them but its gonna cost you a tenner a photo for me to do the lot as i did not do the wedding! they had 150 pics so it was gonna cost them £1500 so they said no... I told them if they would of paid the extra to hire me then they would not have that problem(they had more than enough money to pay £800). A said the whole peanuts/monkeys thing and that was it.. Too many people instantly think that cheaper must be better. Oops. No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

Have to take my hat off to Mitesh for his approach ( leave your camera at home when you are being taken for granted ) Totally agree. If I found out that friends or family were expecting something for free without even asking I would do exactly the same. No sense and unfortunately not enough money.
