Anywhere in mind? The weather forecast around here for the next four days looks utter rubbish :( :( :( :( :(

Hmm, a toughie. If the weather is possibly bad then something industrial-esque that would still look good in wet conditions. Something like dockyards etc.

Not sure, my mind has drawn a blank for locations that are wet weather friendly

I have a request from Marcelo, who doesn't patronise POTN as much as he should, for coastal. Which whatever the weather will be cool.

I can deal with that. Let me know what part of the coast you are thinking about.

No idea, perhaps Newhaven? Dover? I'll do some more planning. Anyone else up for a coastal day out in the rain?

Love the shot Victor, i took pics of that exact composition on both visits to the asylum. I love the colours, but the HDR looks a bit wrong to me - if you tinted the light outside the window a bit you would carry the sunset theme better. Also the noise makes it seem more unreal than it is - especially in the blue areas of the corridor.
I think if you can control the noise it will make this image great.

Much better than any of my own HDR attempts though!

(Sorry if what i have said sounds at all harsh - just trying to be constructive, as i know you don't do HDR very often.)

It may be artifacts from the jpeg compression - what quality level did you save it at?

I think the composition and lighting is very nice. Personally, the noise doesn't bother me, if anything the grain adds to the shot. You could try running the shot through noise ninja if you want to smooth it out.

For me its the cold cast on the wall outside works well with the warm feel inside the room however I would probably add a warm up filter on the window to make it less blue.

Victor, HDR ALWAYS causes noise and noiseware or noiseninja is needed.

Are you using Photomatix, or the tool in photoshop?

It really depends on what format the images you're using to create the hdr are in. I find you get much less noise with tiff files vs jpgs or even raw.

If the noise bothers you (I don't mind it) you could always try exporting your exposures as tiff files and then combining them.

Assuming you have multiple shots here. If you're just increasing/decreasing a single exposure for this then I'd expect some noise.

Evening all - hope your days were as fun as mine.
Spent the afternoon cleaning up pidgeon sh*t in our stock room. We have two flying rats that have taken up residence and they are prolific in their toilet habits.
The bloody stuff is like cement~!:mad:

I agree that the noise does add something to the picture, its just the brown brickwork in the blue corridor that bothers me - its really apparent there.
