Don't know a lot about Nikons but Warehouse Express has just plopped an e-mail into my Inbox with a new D5000. It's got one of those vari-angle screens, I hope Canon doesn't follow on that.

I just got the same email- Uuuugly looking body on the D5000 (are they going for longer number = better camera mentality?).
I dunno about the screen, i could have done with a flip out screen in some of the cramped rooms of Hellingly.
Would be nice if it could come all the way out to the side so you can have the camera flush to the wall.

Thats about the only use i can think for it though. In a "pro" setup i guess you would use a laptop and canon software to control the camera remotely and still have it flush to the wall, but for quick and dirty shots the flip screen would be good.

Judging by this morning's activity, more than likely :D

Wait until I wake up properly and I'll no doubt make a significant contribution (of spam) to getting us into thread number 4 today.

You do realise that in order to vote, I would have to register on the site?
I think some kind of bribe is in order. ;)

I got that too. I don't think it's a terrible idea, but it does seem like a weak point just begging to be broken.

Isn't it more dependent on the lens you use rather than the camera itself?

EDIT: Personally I don't think I've ever gone smaller than f/22
