Which purchase next? Not made of money. A flash cord & bracket OR a slide rail?

Would like to get the most fun from this lens. Recently bought a 100mm macro to use as a prime lens & cant afford much additional spending for awhile.
Not sure if need to buy $29 flash cord & 48 bracket OR $89 bogen slide rail instead of flash cord & bracket.
Been shooting typical park nature photos of flowers (not super macro), mushrooms, landscape, goose eggs with 35mm.
Have 430EX , digital camera & heavy duty tripod. Have no slide rail, flash ring, flash cord & flash bracket that fits newer camera.

Wanna start having fun with macro? I've seen most people start with a Delta Flash Bracket ($40) and Giottos MH-1004 Mini Ballhead ($13)

There are tons of photos in the macro rig thread.

Oh yeah, need the cord as well which you can find some reliable ones on ebay.
