What is the best monitor I can get between the $150-200 range?

You looking for widescreen or standard? Viewsonic makes pretty good products.

Check out the Dells although they can really run hot and cold - depends who's manufacturing them at that point in time. Sometimes there are deals to be had. I still recommending checking out reviews of Viewsonic. I think their production is a bit more consistent.

Samsungs are really great in that price range. I've tried dell, viewsonic, LG, Acer and Hann's and found Samsung to be the best in its price range and in color and in life lasting and the most important doesn't have any dead pixels. Good luck :)

I just picked up a Samsung 21.6 wide screen for that price range and I'm very happy with it.

In general, how adjustable are the Samsungs for calibration as far as WB, brightness, contrast, etc. go?
