I saw some amazing photo journalistic images in an issue of the French magazine Photo last summer. Their site is http://www.photo.fr/
but there is little info there and my french is not the best. 
I believe there was a story on the fashion photographer Tim Walker in the same issue.
I think he's is European with a name I can't remember. The photos were raw, taken in extreme situations and they were powerful.
I know it's a long shot, but there are many members here from all over the world, so why not give it a try.
