Canon's price increase is going to hurt their business instead of helping them. The sooner they figure this out, the better.

We the users can live by our existing camera gears, their balance sheet can't.

And if they don't adjust prices to compensate for currency fluctuations, which Canon "gears" will you buy if they go away completely because they ceased to be profitable?

I pretty much stop buying anything already. Just in case the economy get any worse, I need food, more than gears, on the table.:rolleyes:

Food is highly overrated.

I just bought a 5DII. :) It's about all I'll buy this year. I'm completely poor now.

Sorry to hear that. Come on over for dinner. I'll feed and clothe you.

Maybe gears like those little ones that Keep falling out of Nikon's :p

Uh, one quick glance at a recent article on www.luminous-landscape.com (external link), an article that was also written last year detailing another trip to South America and Antarctica, will show that Canons failed at many times the rate of Nikons. Yes, even though there were many more Canon shooters.
Besides, my Nikon ain't got no gears. Only film cameras do.

Nope.

No purchases planned until after the 1D4 has been available for about 12 months.

Then, let the good times role!

1D4 plus 70-200 f/2.8 plus 16-35 f/2.8 plus 500 f/4 plus a divorce....
Only kidding!

Hey, know why divorce is so expensive? Cause it's worth it.

Yes I am... not much is going to stop me if I got the $$ :D

Whoa, pardna, you got a baby coming. Better start saving for college. By the time your little tyke is ready to go, it'll only be a hundred grand a year. Besides, I'm a bit tired of trying to keep up with you in the gear's' department.

And why people makin fun of da OP's use of English? It's apparent, at least to me, he's not a native English speaker. Another person does that, I'll kick their gas.
