I bought a new CANON 70 200L IS 2.8 and had it for four months without ever using it so I sold it and got a nice CANON 70 210 3.5 4.5 in like new condition with no dust showing up inside and tight with no zoom creep in original box. To go along with my Canon 5D 24 70L 2.8 walk around lens. For someone who takes very few pictures did I make the right choice?

As you never used you'll never know what quality you let go.
Can't believe someone could take such a step backward.

What did you buy the lens to do, and why did you end up not using/needing it for that purpose?

I buy things to have the latest and greatest but never use half of what I buy. I did take a $200.00 loss on reselling the lens.

i bought the 70-200 2.8 IS about 6 months ago, and hardly ever used it. when i did, i was more at the 200 end than the 70 end, so i sold it and bought a 200 2.8 II and pocketed about $1500.

If you didn't use the 70-200, what makes you think you'll use the 70-210 ?

$5 says he buys another :D

Anyways a shame..I personally wish I had the money for a 70-200 f/2.8L IS..but at this point in time I think I'd be better off using my money to procure a long zoom..

If you don't use it, then you probably won't miss it.
