Had a few of these come to dine off the feeders just lately, and this morning whilst refilling seeds I had two of them on the peanut feeder not a foot away, totally oblivious to me - Did I have my camera? Nooooooooooo!!:o

Here's a few from lunchtime today I thought I'd share.

They are great and for them not to be shy & skittish as usual perhaps suggests the poor little blighters are starving :(

We regularly get a family group rushing through the garden - they stay for all of about 30seconds and no chance of picture taking even if I had a suitable lens.

They are a real treat to see so thanks for sharing :D

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Thanks Box Brownie - Yes, unusual here to actually get them on the feeders, yet alone in the garden.
They normally flit by in groups of up to a dozen in the bushes behind my garden, so I was quite happy to be able to get so physically close to them this morning without them flying off - they've been popping back to the nearest feeder to the house (just under 20ft from camera) all afternoon & been able to snap quite a few pics of them.
I do hope they survive OK, it's so bitterly cold.

Yes, that is about the group numbers we have seen and I am sure I read somewhere that this is a family group and could be 3 generations  I need to go and check my facts but that does stick in the old grey matter.

These little guys need their protein but at this time of year there are so very few if any insects for which their beaks are 'designed' to get. I wonder if fat balls are best for them as breaking into seeds must be way too hard for them???

Lovely little Birds are these Longtail Titmouse.
I know the importance of having a feeder close to the camera.

These are our lovely UK Long Tailed Tits and surmise like your Chickadees (spelling ?) are similar to our Blue Tits perhaps you call this little cutie the Longtail Titmouse??? But we 'had' them first as your country is still a young pup compared to the UK, isn't it ;)
