Hey guys. I've had this happen once before and I can't remember er what was causing it...

basically I'm shooting with a new 40D, and I'm also working in Photoshop CS4 now, and for some reason on my photos, when I save them, I'm losing contrast. A noticeable amount.

I've tried saving in numerous different ways and they still come out looking dulled as compared to what I'm looking at in Photoshop.

It's making me angry! :(

You can see the photo series I'm talking about here: http://www.kristen-tyler.com/blog (external link)

In Photoshop the contrast isn't that soft. uggh
A couple photos are alright, but there's a couple that are in need of a contrast boost, but it just won't carry over to saving as a JPEG.
Can anyone help me with this?

Your photos (in the link above) are in AdobeRGB. Unless they are viewed in a color managed application they will lose contrast and saturation. Most people view the web with a non-CM browser, like Internet Explorer. To retain the color and tone you want in your images, convert them to sRGB before uploading.

Since you don't understand color you should use sRgb for everything. It's safer that way.

If you shoot jpegs it is the safest thing to do -- it should be in your first menu (I believe) as Color Space.
