If I'm correct, the image max to attach is 150K, and when I downsize a 3484 X 2592 pixel, 25.5M shot to a 150K picture, it falls apart when viewed onscreen.
What am I doing wrong?
I've attached (I think) an image I downsize to 147K.
Thanks for any advice

If you are using photoshop, you can "save for web" and set your image file size limit as a criteria for suggesting quality of output.

That image is 104k by the look of it.
What compression level are you saving at, 8 is fine for web use.

Just to make sure you are looking at the size on disk rather than the document size, i.e. the uncompressed size in PS.

You're never going to get a 3484 X 2592 image to look good at 150k. It needs to be 1024 on the long side for the forum anyway.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Your best bet is to host your photo on a site such as flickr (external link) and then just link to it in your post.

Save you picture as you normally would...then get yourself Prish Image Resizer....resize to 1024 and you should be good to go. Download is located here.... http://prishcom.spaces.live.com …A6A204ABDF15411!128.entry (external link)
