Zenfolio just sent me an email explaining a new program which allows photographers to sell digital images. It sound interesting. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts regarding what price one would put on digital copies. The way I understood it, different limitations can be associated with different price points.
I would appreciate any advice or thoughts regarding pursuing this "new" opportunity.
Price is going to depend on how you license the images, what size you're selling, what the intended use is, etc.
I see it more as a way to sell to a specific audience or client more than to people just randomly browsing through your galleries.

since i mainly shoot things that i really only have editorial content usage for (concerts), this really doesn't affect me at all.
I've sold stuff directly to artists a couple times (promo stuff), and I think the digital download thing would be a nicer process than handing over a CD and taking a check or paypal. It's an easy way to accept credit/debit cards anyway. You can always just add the 8% on to your normal price.
