Nice PP Lee!

Thank you ;)

My Yashica 50/2 is worn/loose on the focus/aperture rings & has filter thread damage. Today I picked up a very good condition 50/1.9 for £15 :)

^How do you find the 1.9 compares to the f/2? Is it the same size as the f/2? It's the only ML 50mm that I don't have yet... part of me feels compelled to buy it just to have them all

Here's my "newest" lens. Tamron Adaptall 2 70-150mm f/3.5. I found it in a thrift store and offered the guy $5 for it out of curiosity, but it's actually surprisingly decent :)

Both shots are wide open

I love how small and light this thing is, should pair greatly with my X-E1 :) It's also the first zoom I've ever seen with a built in hood, although it's really flimsy... but I'm glad it has one since it has an obscure filter size... it's just under 52mm's.

Can't knock that for $5!! Looks nice & sharp too in those examples

I find the f/1.9 to be sharper [or more accurate to confirm focus] gives a nice blur though but does seem to give a bit of flare shooting into the sun. I have only used it once though the day I bought it so I didn't even clean it before use!!

Indeed, surprisingly sharp! Not quite up to my S1 70-210 I don't think, but it's close.

I hear you, I always get excited to test out a lens too! The only reason I cleaned the Tamron was I thought the front element was scratched, turned out to just be a really thick and sticky smudge, the glass looks brand new :) I might have to just get the 1.9 to end my curiosity  But I find myself using the 1.4 almost all the time.

A couple more shots from my "new" Tamron

Chipper doesn't like his new food container... he can't get into it
