^^^ZoneV, love the first. but did u shot wide open? asking coz i see u used really fast shutter speed, 1/8000, and 50 iso..

METAL1, yes, I love the softer images with glow the Rokkor gives wide open. So I need very short exposure times. I use it a lot this way, sometimes I take the same image additional stopped down. But found very few - if any - of these stopped down images "better".

What adapter are you using? Is it glassless? I'd been perusing images from the 58/1.2 thinking that a mirrorless body (a7) might be in my future, but if I can make it work on my current 5D, I might do that instead of a CY Z 50/1.7.

I believe Ed Mika makes a conversion for it which will allow for infinity focus without requiring another optic.

I have DIY converted the Rokkor 58mm f/1.2 to Canon EOS EF, it was relatively simple. One has to be carefull to have all things still parallel, not to get a tilt lens
But the tilt effect is also sometimes quite nice

To get infinity one has to file down a retaining ring. I suppose most if not all conversions that did not get infinity on EOS 5D are simple not enought filed down there.
I reccomend to do this with the ring only, not on the lens.

No, not Ed Mika, but Leitax has a conversion kitfor that lens.
But there is still the mirror problem on the EOS 5D - you need to file down the back housing of the lens. With exact machining one could build and sell such retaining rings, but I suppose it is expensive to get tools for the narrow thread.

Interesting. I've got a Makinon 135/2.5 in MD mount that's basically worthless to me for anything but my 6D, maybe I'll try to DIY convert it
