I'll have to look and see if I have any M42 adapters around - I haven't had or looked at any M42 glass in a while, so I might have sold it with the last M42 that I had (probably a 50/1.4 SMC Takumar).

If you don't have the matte screen for your MkII, you should get it - it makes all of the difference in the world.

Do you remember what it looked like? The ML's (C/Y mount) look pretty different from the DX/DS/DS-M lenses (M42).

Also, can't praise the EG-S screen enough, definitely wouldn't be comfortable shooting fully manual all the time without it  Though now I'm selling the 6D for an a7_ which should be even easier for my MF lenses :)

Ah, didn't see this until now. No, don't recall what it looked like. I don't have any M42 adapters on hand, but it's not a big deal if I can't play with it, though.

You are getting some spectacular colors from your Carl Zeiss lens. :)

Quick question....

Will this thread be open to NON-nikkors used on Nikon bodies when the forum rolls out soon?
...or will a new thread be open in a new forum for such lenses?

Anyone with the Vivitar Series 1 24-70mm?

Is it true the minimum focus distance is 1.2 meters when you use it at any length other than 70mm?

Thanks, Yes, 100/2 IQ is quite mind blowing. I still have to adjust a bit in LR.

That's a very ornate suit of armor. Beautiful shots of the river and town too. :)

My kid's friend had his 3rd bday party at a local firefighters hall and museum. All of the 3-4 year old boys loved it, of course. All of these were taken with the C/Y Distagon 2.8/28 -

These all look great with good color and detail, especially shown by the hose. :)
And hey look, it's an R.E.O. Speedwagon! ;)

A7r with Canon FD 55mm (not an option in metadata for the gallery, so I put down the closest lens I had...).
