Don't forget that there are some very nice enlarger lenses out there that can be had for fairly little money and work well with a bellows attachment.

That's a hell of a collection. 6k, though? Is that a good bundle price in your market? If it's not, I would think that s/he'd do better to split them up...

Me too! On a severe budget. Best bang for your buck is the Rokinon 14mm, but from what I am seeing if you want wide in an older lens, you're likely not going to get much wider than 24mm. Especially without spending too much.

The Olympus 24mm f/2.8 OM is a nice lens for full frame also.
Try to find an MC, (multi coated) version if you can.

The Canon FD 20 f/2.8 looks like a really nice performer, too. The price has gone up recently, but it's still reasonable. The caveat, of course, is that you can't use it on an EOS body (unless you have glass in the adapter, which isn't usually a great idea). If you've got a mirrorless, you're good to go.

If 28mm is wide enough, Olympus has a few good options. The OM 28/3.5 is very affordable and pretty damn good - very sharp though not terribly contrasty. Then again, if 28mm is wide enough, the C/Y Distagon 28/2.8 is exceptional at about $350+. The only way I'll sell my Distagon 28 is if it's replaced with a good 20/21mm (primarily for landscape) and a good 35/40mm (f/2 or faster) as a walk-around.

I have a Canon FD 28mm f2.8 and a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 in M42 fit. I much prefer the Vivitar, it is much sharper and better colour straight out of the camera. One other reason I prefer the Vivitar is because I can use it on my EOS-M and 7D, the FD can only be used on the M.

There are so many good choices out there for a "wide angle" lens that this could go on for days

OP, you might want to give us more to go with... How wide and how fast are you looking for? What camera are you going to use it on?

Heya,

My kid started listening to some headphones and jamming out, so I had to have an image. Grabbed what was close to me, which was a 5Dc with a Helios 44-2 attached. Turned on my flash and bounced off the ceilling since light is what makes all the difference in a dark office with tungsten light.
