I was looking for one on ebay and all the under $100 ones were beat to hell or had fungus/oil issues. You definitely stole it at $30!

Yeah, mine's not in perfect shape, but it's optically good to go, no fungus or oil :) I found it at a flea market attached to an SLR and the guy was refusing to sell it seperately at first with a couple other lenses I had no interest in... but I thankfully talked him into giving me just the 58mm for $30. The funny thing is I was specifically looking for a 55-58mm f1.4 at the time to use as a portrait lens on the X-E1 and we stopped in at this little flea market on our way home from a vacation and I found it :)

I had the Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm 3.8 by Kiron and it was really good. Even did 1:2 macro without a converter. Here's some wide open shots from it.

Can't remember what camera I used it on but it was eirher my EOS M or 7DM2.

I have the Series 1 70-210/2.8-4 Kimone and it's an excellent lens.

Here was a shot from my 6D with it and a 100% crop, I was showing someone else this lens and forgot to remove the crop image from my Flickr

Here is a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 Macro in Nikon AI mount (probably from the late 1970's, it came with a Nikon G) given to me by a friend.

Adapted to a Sony A6000, These are from this morning. Using focus peaking. At full 210 extension (although the lens doesn't move and the zoom scale is backwards, longest closest to camera!! Very weird)

I am looking to get the Samyang 135mm, I thought it is f2.0 lens? Does it has another version of 135mm?

There are many older 135mm F2.8 lenses, and F3.5 lenses. These lenses are often $40.

Samyang's latest 135mm that is modern and doesn't need to be adapted is F2.0. This lens is over $500.

Very best,

It's the vintage one, Samyang has been making lenses for 40+ years. I've owned their new stuff and the vintage stuff. It's all very good honestly.

Their 8mm fisheye is probably my second favorite lens ever. I buy them in EF mount so I can use them on my Canons and on my Sony.

135mm is my favorite focal length.
I own a few 135mm, the Meyer f2.8 and Takumar f 2.5 are my favorite

Crazy thing about that Meyer is that I've seen people adapt it to medium format and it works very well.

I've also seen people adapt Canon EF long primes, it always looks weird to see a modern 400mm 5.6 on a Pentax 67 haha.
