Comparing an old Tamron Adaptall SP 300mm f/2.8 to a Canon 300mm f/2.8 VI. The Tamron holds up well for an older manual lens.

I have been shooting with this lens quite a bit lately... Trying to convince myself not to sell it. I have a Canon 300 2.8 IS and the Tamron is sort of redundant. I have used it on a 6D, 7D, 7D ll, and a Sony A6000. For an old lens it produces some nice image quality. Full size images and more tests are on my Flickr.

Visited the American Swedish Institute, which is partially housed in a 1900's mansion. It's a wonderfully ornate space that employed several dedicated woodworkers/carvers during construction, contains 11 different Swedish tile stoves (evidently for decorative purposes, as the house had central heat from the outset) and some wonderful plaster work, too.

Nice lens, with a swirly bokeh! Hits the mirror on the 5D though...

Like this one best :)

Do you find you get a lot of vignetting with this lens? Do you correct in LR or PP yeah?
