maverick75 Cream of the Crop More info | Sep 30, 2018 23:34 | #8286 maverick75 wrote in post #18674080 Does anyone have experience with a Vivitar 3X-1 teleconverter? (the vintage made in japan version) years ago I used their 2X-1 and was surprised at how good it was, I even paired 2 of them together and got usable results. I somehow ended up loosing them so I want to buy another, I'd prefer to buy a 3X over a pair of 2X(s) if it's usable. (gonna be paired with a takumar 200mm to take moon shots that I will stack together for better IQ) Cheers, Alex

Oct 21, 2018 08:25 | #8288 First foray into adapted lenses - CZJ Pancolar 50/1.8 MC - managed to grab some time from work to look round a nearby grave yard near the office and run some test shots. Fairly impressed so far. Used on 1ds mkiii, no apparent mirror issues. Just about to run out and take some more pictures this afternoon. May also get a chance to try the Helios 44-2. ![]() Canon 5D, 1D, M(IR), 1DsmkIII, 17-40 f/4L, 24-105 f/4L, TS-E 45 f/2.8, EF 50 f/1.4, Zeiss ZE 21 f/2.8, Zeiss ZE 35 f/2, CZJ Pancolar MC 50 f/1.8, Helios 44-2 58 f/2

Unfortunately because I was with other people I didn't stop and take shots at different apertures. This is wide open at f/2.5, and probably why it is a bit soft. Hope to go out tomorrow and get some more shots. Olympus M1 MkII, Olympus M5 MkIII: Lenses covering 8 - 300mm
