Hi! I'm Jessica!

Hi, I'm Jessica! I couldn't find an intro folder, so please move this if it's not appropriate to post here. I'm Jessica from Southeast Georgia, mom to Kennedy who turned four in December, and wife to Kendall since August 2001. I'm a Certified Passenger Safety Technician and a wannabe photographer.

I have a Canon Rebel XSi, Canon 18-55mm kit lens, Canon 50mm f/1.8 (Nifty Fifty), and Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L. I know this isn't much equipment compared to what all you guys probably have, but it's what I have to work with and I'd like to think that I could start to get some nice shots with this. I also have PhotoShop CS2 to work with, although, I have NO idea what I'm doing when I open it. Totally lost there.

Anyway, I'm going to read to my heart's content and glean any information that I can get from you guys, if you'll have me.

Your equipment is very good - you'll enjoy your stay here, and hopefully learn a lot from the friendly folk on this forum. Be sure to share some pictures too in the photo sharing forums .

You have nothing to worry about regarding your gear. The XSi is a highly capable unit and the 24-70 is an amazing lens!

The 24-70 is one of Canon's very best zoom lenses. You're safe!

OHNO. I've commited Canon/Duck fraud by posting my Chickens. My chickens have names yannow. Rico the rooster, Hannah Montana the hen, and Lola the little hen. Heh, four year old's rock.
