Here's one from our last high key shoot. I just learned to post photos, so I'm totally in the sharing mood! Chris

Well so far no one has posted a high key image. All of the above images have a high key background which is one of the essentials for a high key image, but contrary to popular opinion overexposing the skin does not automatically make an image a high key image. In fact images with overexposed skin are high contrast not high key.

I agree. High Key usually has less saturated colors all around. Even the blacks. So anything that has a strong black/white contrast is usually a high contrast image, not high key. Most of the image, if not all, should be the same tone - all hues should have the same contrast (or lack of). Hope that helps?

This was my first try at high key color in 2007. I haven't messed with it much since then. Not sure if the link to the image will work, but hope so.
