I thought I'd have a quick go at a 360 degree panorama this weekend in the woods. I took 19 shots hand-held to cover the full circle then brought them together using Hugin before finally tweaking and applying the polar distortion filter in Elements to make the "planet".

Here's the original flat panorama:

I just wish I had an UWA/fisheye lens so I could have got the full height of the trees, but it's quite hard to get the full height in view from only a few feet away.

I know how you feel, I really want a fisheye too, just for this effect.
I have only done one of these before.

Thanks a lot Mitch, your planet shot looks pretty good itself, wish it were summer here although I'm feeling for the guys in Australia at the moment.
