got some snow today and the birds seem to come out in force

I am not sure why but all of them seem to came out a little soft.

Oh well, just glad there were so many birds this mornign when i woke up, so I figured I would share.

When it gets cold, they get hungry...tough light or no light, nice captures anyway!

good environmental shots, low light birding is tough! You did well considering the conditions.

I know you know this but keep your shutter speed up to eliminate the possibility of shake making the images soft. 1/100-1/200 is kind of low in bird photography. Thanks for sharing.

Given the lighting, the shots are fine. Do keep your shutter speed up as much as possible, even if it means boosting the ISO.

Aren't you lucky to have those birds. I recognize the Towhee and Flicker but not sure what kind of Sparrow that is..maybe a tan-morphed White Throated?

Now that you mention it, it could be but I am leaning more twards a golded-crowned sparrow.

I could be wrong but it does look like a white-throated sparrow a little too

I think you are right...it does look like a Golden-crowned Sparrow. I've never seen one or the tan-morph . You have a very nice selection!
