I had the chance to attend the eagle feeding in Homer AK over this past weekend. Took over 1500 images, here are a few from sunday. I got better by my second trip on Monday. it was a little overwelming at first, so much was going on that i couldn't decide where to point the camera. :D The lighting was not the best when things started, but by the end it was great. this was the only time the 400L was to long for eagle photography, on day two i was getting full frame shots with the 24-70 ;).

enjoy.

great series Dustin, I can't imagine what it was like to see that many, the 65+ I seen were amazing. Well done. Love the last one.

It was an experience that i will never forget. A fellow photog friend of mine, bsmith...., actually took and eagle to the face on the 2nd day of shooting. He came out without a scratch, and with a story that not many other people can tell.

Love like the close ups of the face shots especially the 2nd one. That looks like one bird you don't want to mess with.

That must be an awesome sight, very nice shots !!! I think the end of March is the end of the feeding these birds.
