I've got some of these cheap flash triggers from ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk …EWAX:IT&item=290285181341 (external link) so far they haven't missed a beat but the only downside with them is that they fit between the light stand and flash making it all a bit taller and less sturdy.

So... at the moment the set up is: light stand with trigger on top and flash on top of that.

I was wondering if I changed that set up to light stand with a hot shoe/pc adaptor on top then flash on top of that with a pc cord joining the trigger to the adaptor (one of these adaptors http://cgi.ebay.co.uk …EWAX:IT&item=220353856381 (external link) ) would that still fire the flash?

Might be a stupid question but if you don't ask etc

I can't see the items you tried to link to, but in theory adaptors will work fine if you get the right types.
