1DMKIII custom settings

This is probably a very thick question but I've read the manual and still can't seem to get it right ....

I have my settings done for weddings and have registered them as SET1 ...

I have another set kindly given to me for a starting point for tracking etc ....

These are CAMSET03.CSD

I load these into the camera and save them as SET2 ...

Low and behold set 1 has disappeared ...

I don't know what I am doing wrong but I CAN

save the same set to SET1 and SET2 and then manually go through the functions and alter them and save over the top of one of the sets - so I do end up with two different ones....

My questions are:

1. Is there an easier way

2. what is the quickest method for changing sets
