So I finally got a new camera after mine was stolen. These pics were all taken with the kit lens at 55mm f5.6 800ISO. I was sitting behind the basket in the 20th row.

Photo #1 he should be going up with both hands to properly secure the ball
#2 Not the proper "triple threat" position, keeping the hips square to the basket would be an excellent start.
#3 Lebron should take notes from Hickson. Both hands on the ball, hips square to the basket......you can see the end result.

Seriously though. All pics are nice, a little noisy, but good. Shot clock in #1 is distracting, but not a whole lot you can do about that I guess, unless you get different seats.

I actually only paid 75 cents for the ticket... $4.75 after the ticket master convenience charge. I wish I had a better lens, but I just can't budget it right now. Maybe one day I can get a 135mm 2.8 or something better.

I think you did about as good as you could with that lens. The noise is really showing because you had to crop these shots so tight.
