Battery Grip 5D and 5D Mk II.

Sorry for a dumb question: can the battery grip from 5D be used for Mk II?

Nope.....You need the BG-E6 grip fore the 5DMKII. The battery is LP-E6 and remotes are RC-1 and RC-5...........;)

Wrong........... :roll: BG = Battery Grip. E6 is the model #..Therefore BG-E6 =`s correct item for 5DMKII....And I have PROOF TOO.;)

Thank you. At first I thought of not ordering the grip. I had my 5D + grip for nearly 3 years and was very happy, but kept thinking that when the new 5D comes out, I'll use it more candidly (like Leica, no pun :D). I used it for a month and I miss the grip - big hands.

I like the grip too. Big hands are my issue as well...:)

The grip just gives me more to hold and it feels like I have better control overall...:cool:
