apple store, best buy, amazon, there are also a lot of online mac retailers as well, like macmall.

I bought one last year through the apple online store-----but ended up getting a refurbished one.......saved money and it has been excellent!

amazon is the way to go, no tax, usually student pricing...I picked up a mbp 2.53 for 2200 shipped...

I like to walk out of the Apple Store with a new mac. So I vote for the Apple Store. However if you don't have one near you then go for Amazon
