Fellow Photoshop Gurus: Is there a way to change the brush size by holding a key and scrolling (the same way that CTRL + Wheel => Zoom, Space + Click and drag is move around, etc.).

I know you can use the square brackets to do it, but I don't like moving my left hand away from the bottom left of my keyboard, and the scroll wheel just seems to be faster and more intuitive.

Anybody?

I prefer to use the mouse for everything. Its a lot easier and I don't have to remember loads of different commands.

In CS4, hold Ctrl+Alt (Mac, no idea what that would be on PC) and drag :)
For brush hardness, you still need shift+[and shift+].

Since I don't think of post processing as a race, I've got all the time I need.

holding a key and scrolling

If you already have a hand at the keyboard, why not use the [&] keys to resize the brush? Did they change that shortcut?

Isn't the shortcut the right bracket key?

I think you guys are missing what he's trying to say. He knows the shortcut is the bracket keys, but he wanting to know if there is any way to use the mouse wheel to change the size. That way he doesn't have to take his hand off the mouse to adjust the brush sizes up or down. Right now you can user your left hand to control the ctrl / alt / shift keys and use your right hand to control the mouse. To change the brush size, you either have to move your left hand off the left bottom part of the keyboard, or take your hand off the mouse, both of which slow you down if you like to use brushes in many different sizes.

Yes! This is what I'm trying to get at. I can use the [and] keys, but it slows me down if I'm trying to quickly change brush sizes as I paint around an image. The suggestion of Ctrl + Alt didn't seem to work on my (Windows) machine.

Does such a thing exist? If not, could I map it somehow?

as I paint around an image

Exactly what are you painting around for? Are you masking? If so, just what are you masking?

It's CS4 only.
Alt+right click & drag on windows: Click (external link)

One of the very few things of CS4 I'm missing tremendously when using CS3 or CS2...
It's a hellovalot faster & more convenient.

Just confirming that there is nothing similar in CS3?
