Hello!

I ran into an ad with an older 400 (UI).....were there any issues I should know about with these lenses and if you would gimme an idea of a good price on one in good condition.

TIA!

The Series 1 and Series 2 400 2.8's are no longer serviced by Canon. I'm not sure if that falls into the UI date code or not.....

I talked to Ken @ KEH in Atlanta yesterday and he said the parts, specifically the af motors, are on a parts available basis and occasionally Canon will release some parts. He said it's very hit or miss when it comes to available parts these days. Sometimes a repair facility will purchase a beat up 400 2.8 I(II) and cannibalize the parts out of it. Hope that helps.
