A question for the hard drive experts... The Navy Exchange sent out a flyer that lists an ACOMDATA 1Tb external hard drive for $119.99. Is anyone familiar with this brand and is this a good price for it?

Office Depot is listing a Maxtor 1 Tb for $129.99 which I'm also looking at, except there I'd have to pay sales tax.

Never heard of ACOMDATA, I'd go for the Maxtor. I also get lots of stuff from www.tigerdirect.com, they have great prices.

Both, but I agree. I like the idea of Leyla and her horse in the shot just because it's them. I think a horse alone will fit better and maybe have a nice feel to it.

Cat told me, almost a year ago, that I should wait a few days before processing because I'm never objective til then. It's a good idea.

I adopted that practice a few years ago. I'm always way too critical of my own photos if I look at them right away.

She was. I picked her up and held her out in front of me to take that picture. She hated being touched or held! But it was the only way I could get a shot of her. And that's the only decent picture of her I have.

In my own experience, the brand name listed in ads for an external hard drive refers to the enclosure for it, not the hard drive itself. I have never heard of Acomdata, but I'd be willing to bet my 40D that they had nothing to do with making the hard drive that's inside their cheap, plastic case... It makes things a bit hard to tell if it's good or not without actually buying it and seeing for yourself.

Neil and John, nice storage units. We use our bags and a book case.

John I love how your cat is inspecting the drawer. I hope you passed the inspection.

Forgot to say, I now am doing the C in R.I.C.E. And decided to take some pain meds, not because I'm in much pain but for the anti-inflammatory factor.
