I would go with the ACOMDATA before I wasted a cent on Maxtor crap...they are probably the least reliable drives on the market. Way too many bad experiences with them.

I think the 160Gb external I'm using now is a Maxtor. It's run fine for several years...

I did have to have one day where I stayed at home due to the snow. Would not have stopped you or others living farther north but Cornwall is not set up for it and many drivers are not aware of how to drive on it and take stupid risks.
