Lisa Cardinals for you. Crappy shots but I saw you liked Cardinals. I get flocks of them eating safflower and gray stripe sunflower

Nice new digs. Wonderful wall art of flowers, ladies, birds, mountains and cityscapes. I don't have anything new so I shall post something old.

Just another reason for you to come down here to visit... The Wild Animal Park is filthy with them and we also have Great Egrets and Cattle Egrets. I don't seem to have any of them in my galleries or I'd post them. I might as well put up some more stuff for the walls...

I see now!

This thread still confuses me, so I think I'll just go and sit in the corner and wonder why I managed to lose 95% of my memory cards.

Todays communication with youngest son:
(actual voice conversation)

Cory: Hi mom! I'm in California (I can hear the smile in his voice)

Me: Hi son, what part?

Cory: (silence) um, southern? (I notice that I am thinking in smileys more and more, lol)

Me: Oh, the down part?

Cory: YES!

Me: Whats doing? Tour or studio?

Cory: Studio, finishing tracks, finishing art for cd cover. *pause* I'm starting a new tour next week, this one is all mine managing from start to finish!

Me: Oh coolness! HEY! Your brother was wearing a FJP tshirt the other day :-| Where is mine?

Cory: aw man, sorry mom, I will get it in the mail. *pause* Hey! I have a question...............OH COOL! A FREAKIN LIZARD!!!

Me: * infinity cuz he is so my boy*

I never did find out what the question was, lol.

ROFLMAO

Woolburr wrote in post #7372388 (external link)
Jennifer can tell you...I damn near walked off the side of a mountain trying to get a butterfly shot...the girl hurt herself laughing.

Oh yes.... That was TOTALLY funny....

Woolburr wrote in post #7372471 (external link)
Feel free to laugh at....we do! Jennifer was so helpful....it was a few days before she had her surgery....so she was a bit medicated....so everything was kind of funny to her...but for some reason, the thought of my falling off the side of the mountain caused near maniacal laughter. Perhaps it relates to my regular threats to throw her off the mountain.

HEY!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! Feelin' the hate! *giggle*

Mgdh wrote in post #7372779 (external link)
G'mae all.

My word I had a difficult time finding this place, had to wander through a completely derelict bar that I'd never seen on my way here. Is there still a spare bar stool for the stranger from the UK?

Sorry for the long absence folks. Life sort of got on top of me for a while with work, visiting my mum in hospital every night and a few other commitments and issues. I figured out I was actually off POTN for about 4 weeks - I don't know how I coped. Thanks for the thoughts that were passed on to me though. Knowing you guys were thinking of me from time to time was a great help. Hopefully I can start to catch up a bit with the happenings around here but I might be a bit "hit and miss" in checking in for a while longer.

Mum is still in hospital but is due to come out on the 25th and will be living with my sister. It's not far from me so I will still be going to visit but not as regularly so that should ease some of the pressure I've been feeling.

Thanks again and it's great to be back in the TPBM bar.

MARK!!!!!!!!! Good to see you! Hope your mom is home and improving soon!

Mgdh wrote in post #7372826 (external link)
Anyone mind if I hang a picture on the walls?

Had some spare time the other day and took a few shots. The wather wasn't great but at least I was able to fire off a few frames!

Picture of a dog on a beach sound familiar?

http://newquay-plus.co.uk …MG_7978_Carlyon-beach.jpg (external link)

Gaa. It's been too long. I really had to think about how I included the photo then!

Beautiful!

Becky, I don't know what lurpy means, but if it's sort of gangly and not quite in control of ones legs yet, then yes. I'd say he's in the lurpy phase of growth.

http://www.capturedimaginings.com/photos/477630558_vYfi8-XL.jpg (external link)

How funny!!!!!!

Woolburr wrote in post #7375122 (external link)
I had my fair share of laughs that day too....Miss Jennifer was slightly medicated....and watching her trying to walk around Roan Mountain was pretty darn funny...

Yes...yes I was.... Make fun of a girl while she's down.... er... ahem... high *giggle*

Woolburr wrote in post #7375492 (external link)
Good luck with that project. Will that also change post counts? If it does...merge away....I'll be off the first page in a heartbeat!

We never got out to the observation platform....my shooting partner wasn't really up to that hike. I was doing the acrobatics down where we found the Gray's Lilies along the road up from the TN side. There is a pretty good drop just over the guard rail directly across from there....that was where I was chasing the butterfly.

hehehehehe

Jon wrote in post #7375574 (external link)
Yeah - that dropoff would be a tad . . . permanent. Bet she was wishing for a spare set of keys!

LOL yes... yes that would be nice! giggle

Woolburr wrote in post #7375625 (external link)
I am fairly sure that having the keys in my pocket is the only thing that saved my life that day!

I would've been useless in saving you.... giggle

*having dessert from our favorite bakery*

The Kona/Basset encounter was so funny. Kona kept looking at the dog's legs. "Where'd they go? You really should go see if that's under warranty."

Oh, and there was this little terrier (Chris called them terrorists, cracked me up) that came over and was acting all tough. It was smaller than Kona. Kona, at first, was all intimidated, as a default setting, then, once seeing the size of the terrier, he stopped in mid shiver and looked disdainfully at the ersatz offender.

There was, however, a time when Kona was going for the tossed ball. As he was making his final approach, a Mastiff, about the size of a mid-sized Hummer, was making a bee-line for the ball as well. Surprising for the size, the Mastiff made good time and was about to get to the ball about the same time as Kona. Kona looked up, probably because the sun was suddenly eclipsed, and saw this HEE-UGE miniture horse bearing down on him. Kona immediately broke off the mission to starboard and began letting out various "Yips" as a countermeasure. He ran straight for me and hid behind my legs. "If Dogzilla wants the ball, Dogzilla gets the ball. It's not that important to me...."

OK, dessert gone. Time for beds.

That is a ROFL moment!

That is seriously cool. Like all the ball caps. Like my collections it looks like....though mine are stacked in a shelf and not on racks on the wall.
